Budgets Airlines Have the Perfect Business StrategyWhen you compare the price of a ticket on any of the major budget airlines with those of the main flag carriers, you are going to see some substantial savings can be made on both short and long haul flights.

It is of course the way that those budget airlines operate that ensures they constantly made huge profits, which is something none of their much more established competitors cannot match.

If you are prepared to make a few little comprises you are never going to have to pay much to travel on airlines such as Ryanair, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Jet2, however you do need to know how to play the game so to speak to ensure you never get hit with those three airlines famous add-ons!

As budget airlines tend to use newer planes, the operating costs of those planes are much lower when compared to the main flag carrier airlines, and one of the major savings is in regards to fuel costs and also servicing and maintenance costs too.

If you are planning on travelling by plane in the coming weeks and months then below I am going to pass on a range of tips and hacks that will ensure you are going to pay as little as possible for your ticket, which is of course what any savvy traveller is going to want to do to have more spending money when they arrive at their destination.

The very first thing you should ensure is that you book your budget airline plane ticket well in advance, as the closer you book to your scheduled departure date the more your ticket is going to cost you, so make sure you plan well in advance to buy the very lowest priced tickets.

Next you should try and pack all your belongings into your carry-on luggage bag, if you take a lot of luggage then you are going to have to pay for your bags to go into the hold, but make sure your carry-on luggage is the right size and weight to go in the cabin, or you will be forced to pay extra at the departure gate!

All budget airlines make huge profits from the extras they sell onboard the plane, everything from food and drink to their “duty free” merchandise. If you do not want to pay over the top of snacks on board then make your own sandwiches at home and take them with you.

In regards to drinks as you are not going to be allowed to take fluids through security, you are not going to be able to take low cost drinks with you, so consider taking an empty water bottle with you and fill it up when you go through security, to save you a small fortune buying drinks at the airport or on the plane.

Many airlines now charge you to pre-book a particular seat on the plane, if you are prepared to sit anywhere then do not pay for a pre-booked seat as that will save you even more money!
